Labor Costs Weigh on Aramark Earnings

CHICAGO (Reuters) - - Aramark Corp. (RMK.N: Quote, Profile, Research) , which provides food service and facilities management, on Wednesday said quarterly profit from continuing operations rose slightly as labor costs weighed on results.

It posted profit of $64.5 million, or 33 cents a share, for the fiscal third quarter ended July 2. That compared with $63.9 million, or 33 cents a share, from continuing operations a year earlier. The results excluded Aramark Educational Resources, which was reclassified as discontinued operations.

Analysts, on average, estimated 34 cents a share, according to Reuters Estimates.
